Program Update-
May, 2007
May Retreat 2007- The associates once again visited the beautiful Portland, Oregon for their annual May Retreat. Highlights included the celebration of mass and community night with the Portland community of Holy Cross Priests, a wonderful talk by Kathleen Myers (Chile '91-'93), day trips to the coast and Columbia River Gorge, the alumni mass and barbeque, and of course being together as a group for the last time this year. Check out the HCA homepage for pictures of the event.

Re-Entry Retreat- The 2004-2006 Chile associates returned to the United States in late December and attended the Re-Entry Retreat at Moreau Seminary from February 3rd through 10th. Among the highlights were a weekend at the Indiana Province's LaPorte property with Fr. Paul Kollman, CSC, a day of speaking to religion classes at Marian High School in South Bend, and the conclusion of the Re-Entry Retreat with the annual Day of Reflection. Please keep Maureen, Tom, and Meg in your prayers as they continue to make the transition in the upcoming months.

Thanksgiving- As the Advent season is now upon us the associates in Portland, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, and Brockton have recently returned from their annual Thanksgiving trip to Colorado Springs where they engaged in fellowship, shared Thanksgiving dinner and a friendly game of football with the wonderful Holy Cross novices, and also served lunch at the Marian House soup kitchen. The '06-'08 Chile associates are finishing up language school and anxiously preparing for their trip to Chile on December 15th to begin their two year commitment, while the '04-'06 associates are saying their final goodbyes before heading home. All the associates are preparing for Advent and the Christmas season, as it is certainly in many ways an important time of their year. We ask for your prayers for these wonderful associates who have given up time with their families this holiday season in order to serve others and grow in community and spirituality together.
